3 June 1972 – Airshow

On Saturday 3 June 1972 an Open House was held at Soesterberg AB. It was a rather small scale event with only Dutch participants on the ground. The Air Force and Navy showed their inventory and performed a flying display. The only two foreign planes were a USAF ‘ZS’ F-4C Phantom II and a ‘JS’ F-111E Aardvark. Both made a few fly passes.
The event draw approximately 60.000 visitors to the airbase.
