4 December 1952 – Meteors

On 4 December 1952 two Gloster Meteors F.Mk.8 with serials I-143 and I-165 touched eachother during a dogfight between five aircraft.

The Meteors crashed. Both pilots managed to use their ejection seat, but nevertheless pilot Lt. van der Werve did not survive. The other pilot, Lt. Kemenade, had only some minor injuries.
