19 November 1958 – F-86 Sabre

On Wednesday 19 November 1958 the nosewheel of a F-86K Sabre with serial Q-257 (6A-5) of the Royal Netherlands Air Force collapsed after landing at Soesterberg AB. The aircraft stayed on the runway and the pilot could leave the aircraft unharmed.

The F-86K was repaired and stayed in service until 1964.
