F-15C 81-0027
Arrived at Soesterberg on 29 August 1989.
Left the 32nd on 29 May 1992 to the 325th FW at Tyndall AFB.
On 21 May 2004, the aircraft crashed after the pilot inadvertently ejected over Gulf of Mexico. The plane crashed near the shoreline of St. George Island, FL. During an air combat training flight, an air regulating valve detached from the pilot’s torso harness and lodged near the ejection seat handle. When the pilot turned his head and pulled on the stick, enough tension was put on the detached valve to raise the handle and fire the seat. The aircraft was destroyed, the pilot had no major injuries.
Images of this aircraft will be added asap.
