On 23 March 1971 Major Dean T. Biggerstaff flew chase on intercept training mission and experienced power failure and flameout. He attempted a glide to emergency landing spot but undercast forced ejection at 7500 feet after pilot lost visual contact with Jacksonville IAP during approach. Successful bailout.
