On 27 July 1979 the aircraft was sold to Sperry Flight Systems, Litchfield Park, AZ and later converted to QF-102A.

Converted to PQM-102B (747) and shot down 5 July 1980 over the Gulf of Mexico in a missile test flight from Tyndall AFB, FL.
