9 May 1958 – Hunter

On 9 May 1958 a Hawker Hunter F.Mk.4 from the Royal Netherlands Air Force with serial N-146 (4R-4) aborted his take-off. After which the pilot lost control of the aircraft. It slided of the runway and ended up in the bush.

The pilot was unharmed and although the Hunter was severly damaged it was repaired and stayed in service until May 1963.
