4-5 April 1956 – Jeugdluchtvaartdagen

On Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 August 1956, Soesterberg AB opened its gates for youth from secondary and high schools. The purpose of this event was to inspire youth for a career in the Royal Netherlands Air Force.

The event was to be held on only the Wednesday. The RNLAF could accomodate 1.600 visitors. Because the number registrations however was 2.800, the RNLAF decided to split the crowd and host a two day event.
