On Monday 25 September 1961, a F-102A (serial 56-1021) from the 32nd crashed near the city of Zevenhoven.
The F-102A left Soesterberg AB around 2:15 in the afternoon on a routine training flight. After half an hour the aircraft with pilot 1st Lt. J.R. Martin got into trouble. The engine suddenly stopped, and Lt. Martin had no other option than to leave the aircraft with his ejection seat. The plane crashed in a meadow not far from the city of Zevenhoven. Nobody got hurt.
The pilot landed in the Vinkeveense Plassen and was not seriously injured.
