23 May 1958 – Hawker Hunter RNLAF (N-149)

On 23 May 1958 a Hawker Hunter F.Mk.4 from the Royal Netherlands Air Force with serial N-149 (4R-21) aborted his take-off when the pilot noticed his speed was too low. The aircraft went through the barrier and was heavily damaged.

Pilot Major Folmer was unharmed, the Hunter was written off.
