23 May 1952 – Meteor

On 23 May 1952, Gloster Meteor F.Mk.8 with serial I-150 crashed near the city of Austerlitz.

The horizon detection of the Meteor did not work correctly causing the aircraft to enter an unusual flying position which could not be corrected.

Pilot B. van den Berge was killed. The Meteor was totally destroyed.
