15 December 1958 – Harvard T-6

This Monday a Harvard T-6 from the Royal Netherlands Air Force with serial B-115 had an accident at Soesterberg AB.
Earlier this afternoon Soesterberg AB was startled by the crash of a Norwegian RF-84F, which ended up in the barrier. Only a few hours later a Harvard T-6 from the Royal Netherlands Air Force ended up on its belly when during take-off the pilot accidently withdraw the landing gear too soon.
The pilot could leave the Harvard unharmed. The plane itself was heavily damaged, but was repaired and stayed in service until 1964.
